He has been on trial throughout the pre-season, playing 171 minutes without getting a goal or an assist, but has impressed boss Carl Robinson with his high work rate, huge experience and desire to stay and train long after other players have gone home.
“We’re talking,” Robinson told reporters. “I’ve spoken to Earnie [club owner] numerous times about it. [A decision] doesn’t need to be by the weekend but to be fair to him I will make it sooner rather than later with him.”
“We’ve had a good look at him now. He knows me inside out and he knows us inside out. We’re just taking it day by day now.”
Vancouver start their season on Saturday afternoon at home to Toronto.
