Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has been quick to offer his support to captain Vincent Kompany…
Joe Hart believes that Manchester City teammate Vincent Kompany will come back stronger after being dropped for their game against Leicester City on Wednesday. The City captain has been slammed for his recent performances, and looks to be suffering from a lack of confidence.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini refused to guarantee the Belgian his place back in the team, despite this being the first time in his career at the club that he’s been dropped due to his under-par performances.
England international Hart suffered a similar run of poor form last year, losing his place to Costel Pantilimon. He missed seven Premier League games under the Chilean, but returned to impress after winning back his place.
Hart, who was quoted by the Daily Mirror, said: “Vinny appreciates, same as we all do, that sometimes the manager will change the squad. There’s no-one destined to play every single game – I’ve learned that lesson.
“Vinny’s an unbelievable player, one of the best I have ever played with, and this was his night off. I’m sure he will be back in the team again with that captain’s armband, being one of the best defenders in world football.
“It was how it went for me [being dropped]. That was my path at that time – you have to make the best of it, and I like to think I’ve done that. I’ve been here a long time and with the squad we’ve got, you have to appreciate that positions change an awful lot.
“We’re used to it. It’s not a big deal if there are six changes – it’s not like we don’t know each other. We train together every day, and train as we play, so it’s no issue.”
