Here is how the Arsenal players rated against QPR.

GK) David Ospina – 6

Didn’t get a strong hand to Austin’s strike and made some nervy punches instead of catching the ball.

RB) Hector Bellerin – 7

Continues his rise as Arsenal’s first choice full-back and defended against Hoillet well.

CB) Gabriel – 6

Didn’t look comfortable during his time on the pitch and struggled to handle Bobby Zamora. Went off before half-time with a muscle injury.

CB) Per Mertesacker – 7

Looked back to his commanding self, winning his aerial duels and leading his back four.

LB) Kieran Gibbs – 6

One his personal battle with Matt Phillips but was at fault for the goal and a bizarre moment with the ball hitting his back almost giving Phillips a goal.

CDM) Francis Coquelin – 7

Donning a mask due to a broken nose and his importance to the side was visible as he continued to get stuck-in and protect the back four.

CM) Santi Cazorla – 7

After a nervy first half, the real Cazorla stood up and dominated the game as many know he can.

CAM) Mesut Ozil – 7

Couldn’t get into the game in the first half as Arsenal didn’t get a foothold in the game. Grew later on and could’ve scored a goal.

AMR) Tomas Rosicky – 7

One of the sole reasons as to why his team upped the pace in the second half with one moment of brilliance almost setting up Ozil with a tap-in.

AML) Alexis Sanchez – 8

Finally ended his goal drought and his endeavor has returned, at times too individual but finally scored a wonderful goal which proved to be the winner.

CF) Olivier Giroud – 8

Held the ball up marvelously and his sheer determination opened the scoring.

Substitutes:

Laurent Koscielny – 6

Came on for the injured Gabriel in the first half and could’ve gotten closer to Austin before the forward fired home.

Danny Welbeck – N/A

Came on for the dying embers of the game as Arsenal ran down the clock.
