Liverpool’s six-man midfielder wish-list for the summer transfer window looks to have been revealed, with sources suggesting the Reds are looking at some big names to replace Steven Gerrard as he leaves Anfield for LA Galaxy at the end of the season.

1) Miralem Pjanic (AS Roma)
One of the top playmakers in Serie A at the moment, AS Roma star Miralem Pjanic is one of Liverpool’s top targets at around £37m, though the Bosnian international is also wanted by Manchester United.
2) Lars Bender (Bayer Leverkusen)
Long linked with a move to Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender is also being considered by Liverpool after some fine performances in the Bundesliga, though Barcelona are also sniffing around.
3) Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton)
A top performer for Southampton in the Premier League this season, Morgan Schneiderlin has caught Liverpool’s eye despite strong rumours that he has already agreed a move to join Arsenal.
4) Fabian Delph (Aston Villa)
Despite recently signing a new contract at Aston Villa, Fabian Delph has also been linked with Liverpool after some highly impressive displays in midfield this season and last.
5) Alex Song (Barcelona)
On loan at West Ham United from Barcelona, Alex Song looks a player ready to move back to a top Premier League club, and the former Arsenal man is another on Liverpool’s radar at the moment.
6) Radja Nainggolan (AS Roma)
Another Roma star, Belgian enforcer Radja Nainggolan has been in superb form in Serie A this season and could be a good alternative to Pjanic as the Reds look to bolster their options in the midfield engine room.
