The 23-year-old Brazilian has been hugely impressive in the Portuguese top flight, and was recently touted as a possible replacement for Premier League target Dani Alves at the Nou Camp.
Still, Liverpool are also keeping an eye on possible additions in the right-back slot, with Glen Johnson likely to leave Anfield in the summer and Jon Flanagan struggling with injuries.
Danilo looks an ideal player to fill in as a wing-back in Brendan Rodgers’ formation, and the Reds will no doubt hope he chooses a move to Merseyside this summer.
