Liverpool are eyeing up another exciting young player to add to their squad – Bolton Wanderers midfielder Josh Vela – who impressed against the Reds when the pair met in two FA Cup ties earlier this year, reports the Daily Mail.

Vela has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, playing a major role in Bolton’s mid-season revival under new manager Neil Lennon. Liverpool submitted a £1m bid for the player when he was 17, but it was rejected.
He can play as both a midfielder or as a right-back and has two years remaining on his current contract. He enjoyed a successful loan spell with Notts County last year, but has found himself back in the first-team frame at Bolton since the change in boss.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have enjoyed plenty of success via their young players this term, with Raheem Sterling, Emre Can, Jordon Ibe and Lazar Markovic all 21 years old or younger.
Sterling has scored nine goals in all competitions, making him the club’s second top scorer this season, while Can, Ibe and Markovic have all impressed since Rodgers made the change to a 3-4-3 formation at the end of last year.
