Brisbane have held onto its much sought-after left-back, Corey Brown.
Brisbane Roar defender Corey Brown has signed a three-year deal that will tie him to the A-League club until the end of the 2017/18 season.

Brown said he was delighted to have signed a new deal at his hometown club.
“I’m a Brisbane boy, I’ve got a lot of passion for this club so it’s great to sign for the next three years,” he said in a club statement.
“It was an easy decision for me – my hometown club, it’s a great environment to learn and develop, and I’m around my family and the lads.”
Brown was frozen out of the side by former manager Mike Mulvey, but the 21-year-old has made nine starts under new boss Frans Thijssen.
“The new coach has come in and has new ideas and a new philosophy. I think it’s recharged the team,” Brown said.
“He’s sort of just come in and said the best 11 players (will play), no matter how old you are, no matter what experience you have.
“Obviously we’ve had a few injuries when he first came in which gave a lot of the younger boys a chance.”
Brown, currently a member of the Australian Under-23 side, said the Roar has given him a platform to emulate his father’s achievement in playing for the Socceroos.
“This is the best place for me to develop and become a better player,” he said.
“It’s shown now that you don’t need to leave the A-League to become a Socceroo – the likes of Matt McKay and Ivan Franjic have shown that if you’re performing well in the A-League and at this club, that you can get call ups to the national team.
“It’s a massive ambition of mine to play for the Socceroos one day and I feel that being here can help me reach my goal.”
Brown and his Brisbane teammates will be out to make it three wins in a row when the Roar face Central Coast on Friday.
