Szczesny has only played once, in the FA Cup against Brighton, since he is alleged to have been caught smoking in the showers after the Gunners 2-0 defeat against Southampton at St Mary’s on New Years Day.
The Daily Mail report Poland boss Adam Nawalka, whilst on a scouting trip to England, has told Bournemouth stopper Artur Boruc that Szczesny’s place in the Polish national side will be up for grabs as long as he’s on the bench at Arsenal.
David Ospina has come into the Arsenal first team for his first extended spell since his summer move from Nice and has conceded just three goals in the six games he played, and none in his first four.
Boruc, who has 59 caps to his name, will be keen to regain his spot as first choice keeper in the Polish national team set-up.
The 34 year old is currently on-loan at Bournemouth from Southampton.
