Louis van Gaal will be wanting to bounce back after his team was labelled a ‘long ball’ side
Manchester United look to bounce back after a particularly poor performance against West Ham at the weekend by beating relegation contenders Burnley.

It’s presumably the perfect opposition the Red Devils could be facing at this time with United winning six of their last seven home matches just as Burnley have failed to win in ten of their last 11.
Here’s how we think Louis van Gaal will line up his side against the Clarets:
GK: David de Gea
He kept United in the game in the first half at the weekend as he continues to put in commanding display after commanding display. You’d expect Victor Valdes will have to suffice only with reserve games for some time…
RB: Antonio Valencia
Almost a United ever present at the back and has done well to fend off competition from Ashley Young. With a flat back four, however, you’d expect Valencia to get the nod over the Englishman.
CB: Phil Jones
Jones has issued a rallying cry to his team-mates following their disappointing result against Allardyce’s side and again should be selected at the back.
CB: Chris Smalling
As Rojo moves to the left due to the suspended Shaw, Smalling should come off the bench to replace him in the centre.
LB: Marcos Rojo
With Luke Shaw sent off against West Ham for a quite needless second yellow, Rojo would be an able deputy on the left side of defence – switching from the central role he played against the Hammers.
RM: Wayne Rooney
The United captain hasn’t looked the best in midfield and there’s question marks over why he keeps getting played there but van Gaal will likely continue this selection with no indication given that he will change.
CM: Daley Blind
The hero against West Ham who salvaged a point for the Red Devils and with Carrick still out injured, Blind is the only real option at the base of the United midfield.
LM: Adnan Januzaj
He had a quiet game on Sunday but this might be just the opposition the Belgian needs to work his way not some kind of form.
CAM: Angel Di Maria
Di Maria hasn’t registered an assist since November and his last goal came against lower league minnows Yeovil in the FA Cup. This is the kind of game the Argentine needs to take by the scruff of the neck.
ST: Robin van Persie
Neither of United’s seasoned strikers convinced against West Ham but you’d think van Gaal would only drop one. And given Falcao’s history with the Old Trafford bench this season, you’d expect it to be him.
ST: James Wilson
Another sub-par performance from Falcao means van Gaal could give the youngster another chance upfront, especially considering both the opposition and the fact the match is at home.
Though that reasoning could be argued as reasons to keep the Colombian in the starting line-up.
