The Argentine has cited both the English language and weather as his main problems but has insisted he’s currently more than happy at Old Trafford.

“I’m getting on very well,” said Di Maria, reports Daily Mirror. “The weather is the only thing… it doesn’t help a lot.

“But I’m very content here. The people have a lot of affection for me, which is the most important thing. It’s what I value most, and I have that here.”

It’s been a ropey start for the South American who’s stellar start of three goals in his first five Premier League appearances has since dried up with just his fourth career goal with United coming against minnows Yeovil in the FA Cup in January.

His assists too have seemingly disappeared with Di Maria last being directly responsible for a goal on 22nd November against Arsenal – though he has managed six so far this campaign.

However, the Argentine seemed optimistic on his future with the club, but perhaps not so-much when asked about how his English is progressing.

“More like regressing! It’s very bad. Very little and only understand a small bit.

“That said, I’m trying to learn it bit by bit and I’m taking classes. Hopefully I’ll pick it up quickly.”
