5) Arsenal relish this fixture

Like Manchester United, Chelsea and most of the other big sides do against Arsenal, the Gunners simply boss this fixture and intimidate their north London neighbours. Arsene Wenger has only lost to Spurs six times in his long career with the club and that kind of history plays a part in these games.

4) Gunners more solid after tactical change

Arsenal currently look more solid after a tactical shift in their 2-0 away win at Manchester City. The Gunners, with Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla bossing the midfield, are less gung-ho and leave far fewer gaps at the back, allowing for the team to cut out the silly defensive errors that have plagued them in the past.

3) Tottenham uneasy at home

Tottenham have had some poor results at home this season and players have admitted they don’t always enjoy playing there. Things have improved recently, but will the Spurs players deal well with the pressurising home crowd eager for a rare win over Arsenal?

2) Spurs struggling for consistency

Tottenham have not managed long winning or unbeaten runs all season, and seem to immediately follow up good results with bad ones. After their memorable 5-3 win over Chelsea, they drew with Burnley and lost to Crystal Palace. Although superb in their recent win at West Bromwich Albion, they could slump again here.

1) Ospina looks top class in goal

David Ospina has been a big improvement on Wojciech Szczesny in the Arsenal goal since coming in, and the Colombian international has not yet conceded in the Premier League. Szczesny may have famously celebrated with his selfie at the end of last season’s game, but his error-prone nature always made the Gunners more vulnerable than they look now.
