Frenchman explains how he was nearly devoured by ‘sharks’.
Former Tottenham winger David Ginola has hit out at FIFA after being forced to drop out of the race for presidency by claiming that he was almost devoured by the ‘sharks’ that run football, The Sun reports.

Ginola was backed by betting company Paddy Power to challenge Sepp Blatter for football’s top job, but had to drop out after failing to receive a single nomination from any of FIFA’s 209 organisations.
“I put my toes in the shark-infested waters and my limbs are still intact, although I don’t know how. I was surrounded by white sharks, tiger sharks, bull sharks, the dangerous ones,” he said.
Ginola then took a swipe at both Blatter and Michel Platini, who he accused of ordering followers to purposefully slam doors in his face.
“The game is vicious. People started to realise we were on the right path, saying the right things,” the 48-year-old added.
“That was when the doors started to close.
“Some very powerful people are there, dictating the game.”
The running is now between Blatter, Prince Ali bin-al Hussein, Luis Figo and Michael van Praag for the top job.
