There was no doubt that Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan had fouled Akpom and Cazorla stepped up to score his fifth spot kick of the season to put the result beyond doubt.
However, the strike from the attacking midfielder wasn’t great and Guzan should have saved it and could have somewhat made up for his earlier foul at the same time.
