6) Luke Shaw
Signed for £30m from Southampton, Luke Shaw hasn’t justified his price tag at all so far, though admittedly he is one for the future and has time to improve.

5) Ander Herrera
Not given enough of a chance perhaps, but Ander Herrera has been an underwhelming purchase in midfield for United after another big-money move.
4) Radamel Falcao
Signed on loan from AS Monaco, Radamel Falcao has struggled to show the world class scoring form that made him a hit at his previous clubs, and a permanent deal now looks in doubt.
3) Marcos Rojo
A solid defender, Marcos Rojo looks a good addition by Louis van Gaal after the departures of key defenders Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand in the summer.
2) Daley Blind
A quality player able to function in a number of different positions, Daley Blind looks a great piece of business by United after bringing the Dutchman in from Ajax.
1) Angel di Maria
Despite being a little quieter in recent games, Angel di Maria is an undoubtedly world class midfielder and should prove well worth the club-record £59.7m they paid to sign him from Real Madrid.
