Manchester United have supposedly completed a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels for next season, according to the Daily Star.

The German international has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford and looks set to make an exit from struggling Dortmund, who are surprisingly facing a fight against relegation this season.
There’s no doubt Hummels has what it takes to play for a bigger club, and his fine performances for club and country have seen him linked with a number of Europe’s biggest teams in recent months.
Still, United look to have seen off competition for his signature and are expected to bring the 25-year-old to Manchester in a £37m deal as they make him their top target to strengthen at the back.
Defence has been a weakness for Louis van Gaal’s expensively-assembled side this season, with a number of other big names also linked as targets for the club in that area.
