Arsenal Target Moussa Sissoko Wants Move To Bigger Club

The Newcastle midfielder said he wanted a move to PSG in an interview with a French magazine…

According to reports in the Chronicle, Moussa Sissoko is open to a transfer away from Newcastle in the January transfer window if the opportunity arises, as he wants to play in the Champions League.

Sissoko is likely to be an unpopular figure with Newcastle officials after talking so publicly about his desire for a move away.

He is quoted having said, “If a club wants me, they will discuss it with my agent and with my club. Would the club let me go? There are many things that come into play.”

“My goal is to play at one of the biggest clubs, but it is not up to me. It would take an interested club to talk with Newcastle and with my agent so that everyone agrees on it.”

The question remains though as to who would want to sign the Frenchman as PSG appear to have snubbed him, again according to the Chronicle, and Newcastle are unlikely to accept a bid for less than £18m.

In a act of seeming self-preservation, but that also suggests Arsenal are a favoured destination, Sissoko also said, “I want to stay here and grow in the biggest clubs here in England. This is a championship that I like and where I feel good.”
