Football authorities in Belgium are seeking action against a group of Standard Liege fans who displayed a banner showing a drawing of the Anderlect player’s severed head before their match at home to Defour’s side, according to reports in the Guardian.

The banner said the words, ‘Red or Dead’, referring to Standard’s colours, and a drawing of a masked man with the Belgium international’s head in one hand and a large knife in the other.
Defour was eventually sent off during the match for two bookings as he kicked the ball at Standard fans and each individual supporter involved could face a €5,000 fine and a five-year stadium ban.
