Arsenal fans were left red-faced earlier today as they saw internet jokers change their club’s squad list on Wikipedia, showing they had signed Iranian international striker Sardar Azmoun.

The forward plays for Rubin Kazan in the Russian Premier League and mysteriously appeared on the Gunners’ squad list this morning, showing that he had been handed the No. 5 shirt.
The highly rated 20-year-old recently starred for Iran in the Asian Cup and was previously a transfer target for Liverpool and Tottenham, according to the Mirror.
Unfortunately for hopeful fans of the North London club though, it all proved to be a wind-up and moderators soon corrected the error.
