The west London side are keen to ship out wide-men Andre Schurrle and Mohamed Salah and have identified Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado and Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Douglas Costa as prospective replacements.
The Blues has failed with one bid for Costa but are will to register a second offer of £18.7m for the 24 year old with the Brazilian no doubt interested in teaming up with fellow countrymen Oscar, Ramires and Willian at Stamford Bridge.
It will take an offer of around £27m to trigger Cuadrado’s Fiorentina release clause with the Serie A side unwilling to accept a lower offer for the impressive Colombian.
Egyptian international Salah has been a bit-part player since his move from FC Basel a year ago and failed to impress during Chelsea’s shock FA Cup defeat to Bradford City with World Cup winner Andre Schurrle being entirely absent from the club’s squad for the encounter on Saturday.
