Here are the Arsenal ratings for their 3-2 win over Brighton in the FA Cup…

GK) Wojciech Szczesny – 6.0

The Pole had almost nothing to do in the first half, but didn’t look totally assured when he was tested a little more in the second 45.

RB) Calum Chambers – 6.5

The young defender looked excellent in the early goings, and provided a superb assist for Theo Walcott’s goal. He struggled slightly more in the second half, with a lot of pressure coming down Brighton’s left side.

CB) Laurent Koscielny – 6.5

Was arguably slightly at fault for both Brighton’s goals, but was largely solid in defence.

CB) Nacho Monreal – 6.0

The Spaniard is a mystery at times, and was fairly poor today. He stood off the Brighton attackers far too often, and was poor in the air.

LB) Kieran Gibbs – 7.0

The most solid of Arsenal’s defenders, provided good attacking width down the left side.

DM) Mathieu Flamini – 6.0

Francis Coquelin’s recent performances have highlighted just how poor Mathieu Flamini has been this season. He just isn’t making the grade at Arsenal any more.

CM) Aaron Ramsey – 6.5

The Welshman isn’t looking himself just yet, and looked really rusty at times.

CAM) Tomas Rosicky – 8.5

A superb assist and the goal of the game, unquestionably the best player on the pitch.

RAM) Theo Walcott – 7.5

Still showed a few signs of rust, but took his goal really well.

LAM) Mesut Ozil – 7.0

His return to action was marked with a goal, but he began to visibly tire in the second half.

ST) Olivier Giroud – 7.5

Fantastic hold up play from the French forward, who really kept the Brighton defenders busy. He was noticeably missed when taken off.

Substitute) Chuba Akpom – 7.5

The youngster was dangerous going forward, but with Brighton pressing Arsenal needed more of a presence up front; someone to hold up the ball.

Substitute) Alexis Sanchez – 6.5

He looked a constant danger, and tested the keeper a few times. He was dispossessed far too often however, and should have been looking to hold onto the ball rather than shoot from dead ball situations.

Substitute) Francis Coquelin – 7.5

He was brought on to see out the game, and Arsenal looked infinitely more stable with him in the side.
