9) Ryan Gauld (Sporting Lisbon)

The 19-year-old made his Sporting debut last week after impressing with the ‘B side’. Started his career with Dundee United.

8) Martin Odegaard (Stromsgodset IF)

Real Madrid are believed to be leading the chase for the 16-year-old, who has attracted interest from across Europe.

The Polish youth-team international is still only 17, but his versatility could see him make an impact at the Emirates Stadium before the end of the season.

6) Max Meyer (Schalke 04)

The 19-year-old German international has already played 49 league games for Schalke and looks an extremely bright prospect.
