The 23 year old Italian has been something of a bit-part player this season but has improved of late, netting in Liverpool’s recent Premier League win over Aston Villa, but it’s likely that Brendan Rodgers would consider decent offers for the former AS Roma man.
Any sale may have to wait until the summer though as Rodgers doesn’t have a great many striking options in his current squad, especially with Daniel Sturridge still out injured and misfiring summer signing Mario Balotelli sidelined with illness.
Liverpool paid £10.5m for Borini in the summer of 2012 but has has failed to retain a foothold in the club’s first team set-up and as a result was loaned out to Sunderland last term, where he impressed, before returning to Anfield for the current campaign.
A move back to his native Italy may interest Borini though given that Torino are fairly low down in the Serie A standings the adaptable attacker may look to secure a more high-profile switch.
