The 17-year-old can play in either holding midfield or as a centre-back.
The Pole managed to break in to the first team at Legia at the tender age of 16, and has impressed enough since to interest the Gunners. He has also made some appearances for the Polish youth teams.
Manager Arsene Wenger has already said that he will put the teenager straight in to the first team squad at the North London club. This means that Bielik may make more of an early impact than many would expect for a player that is so young.
The Frenchman is need of defensive signings with his side having already conceded 25 times in just 22 matches this season. The 65-year-old will be hoping that this new signing is able to stop that flood of goals and make sure that the attacking work of summer transfer Alexis Sanchez isn’t undone by the shaky defence at the Emirates.
