The duo could handily beef up the north London side’s defence though their combined valuation of £35m may scare off the Gunners.
30 year old right-back Pereira could offer an experienced outlet and one that is perhaps all the more relevant given just how long French international Mathieu Debuchy has been out injured since signing for Arsenal last summer.
The former Benfica and Sporting Lisbon man can also fill roles at centre-back and in the midfield at a push.
Jose Gaya has risen to prominence this term with the 19 year old left-back forcing his way into the Valencia first team set-up and becoming a virtual ever present and also earning a call up to the Spanish Under 21 national team set-up.
Wenger is pretty well stocked up in terms of left-back options with Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal as his main options in that regard though given Gaya’s tender years the Arsenal manager may be looking to the long term with a move to capture the talented full-back.
