Manchester City and Arsenal clash in the Premier League on Sunday.
City begin the game as big favourites and a win would see them move 14 points clear of the Gunners.
Arsenal are massively inferior to the reigning champions. To hammer home that point, we have selected the best possible XI using players from both clubs.
Not many Arsenal players make the cut…
Team includes some players who are currently injured.
GK: Joe Hart (City)
No longer considered the best goalkeeper in England, having fallen behind Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris, Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois and Manchester United’s David de Gea. However, he is easily better than Willy Caballero, David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny.
RB: Pablo Zabaleta (City)
Zabaleta rarely gets a mention on the back pages or on Match of the Day, but City fans love him. The Argentine is the complete full-back. He is super fit, highly disciplined and technically excellent.
LB: Gael Clichy (City)
City pinched Clichy from Arsenal for a bargain fee of £7m in 2011. The rapid Frenchman is streets ahead of Kieran Gibbs.
CB: Vincent Kompany (City)
City captain Kompany is one of the finest centre-backs ever to grace the Premier League.
CB: Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)
Koscielny is Arsenal’s most important player. Don’t believe it? Check out these stats…
RM: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)
Alexis has been one of the Premier League’s best players this season, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in 20 appearances. He just has to be in this team, but he only gets in on the right wing, which is not his best position.
CM: Yaya Toure (City)
He is accused of laziness at times, but Toure is simply unstoppable when on top form. The African powerhouse is deadly from long range and his passing can be exquisite.
CM: Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal)
Ramsey’s talent is unquestioned. If he can put his fitness troubles behind him, he could become a Premier League great.
LM: Samir Nasri (City)
David Silva is very unlucky not to be in this team, but City teammate Nasri – another former Arsenal man – offers just a little more defensive protection.
ST: Sergio Aguero (City)
Quite simply, there is no better finisher in the world.
ST: Wilfried Bony (City)
City’s new £28m signing is the complete forward. He has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, scoring 25 goals for Swansea in just one and a half seasons.
