The 23-year-old is a highly regarded talent, though he has struggled for consistency in his career so far with a number of moves around different clubs in Spain already.
Edgar initially came through the ranks at Real Madrid and played for their C team, but was unable to make a first-team breakthrough at the Bernabeu.
Still, the Spanish wide-man has performed well in La Liga this season with Almeria, whom he joined in the summer, and is now on the radar of two big Premier League clubs.
With an asking price believed to be just £2m, it is little surprise to see clubs showing an interest this January, though it remains to be seen if Edgar has enough in his locker to break past some big names in the starting lineup at the Emirates Stadium.
