The Montenegro international has struggled for form since moving to the Premier League last season, though he has previously shone in Serie A with Fiorentina prior to his big move.
With City signing Wilfried Bony from Swansea City this month, it could be that Jovetic will find playing time increasingly limited in Manuel Pellegrini’s side, with a host of big-name strikers to compete with for a place already.
Juventus are admirers of the 25-year-old and want to try and lure him back to Italy, but it remains to be seen if City will accept this opening bid from the Serie A champions.
Although the bid is less than City initially paid for Jovetic themselves, the player’s injury record during his time with the club suggests it may be wise to cash in on him if an offer comes in.
