Arsenal transfer news
The 29-year-old is looking likely to leave the Liberty Stadium this month after a difficult first half of the season with the Swans, for whom he has scored four goals in twenty appearances.
Having joined on a free transfer from Lyon in the summer, Gomis has not managed to nail down a regular starting place in Garry Monk’s side, but the Welsh club now stand to profit from his sale in some smart business this January.
Arsenal join the likes of Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke as the clubs in the hunt for the £6m-rated Frenchman, who had a prolific goalscoring record in Ligue 1.
Gomis has shown flashes of fine form for Swansea, including a goal against Arsenal in the Premier League, and he could make a useful signing for a number of top clubs, even if things haven’t worked out for him with his current team.
