Ings has been heavily linked with a move away from relegation candidates Burnley in recent weeks, with his goalscoring form attracting the attention of a number of top English clubs.

Dyche claims that despite the 22-year-old being out of contract at the end of the season however, that they will not be forced into selling him this winter.

“We are quite secure. The good side of not spending millions and millions pounds – although we spent a few quid by Burnley’s standards – is that we are in a good position financially,” he said.

“We are not under any questions of any of our players going out the building.

“We are looking to recruit ones that can come in and help us move forward.”

The Clarets have found themselves in a good vein of form recently picking up a few points in unlikely places, including a fantastic draw against Premier League champions Manchester City. Ings has been at the centre of any success they have had this season, and could prove the difference between staying up and being relegated come the end of the campaign.

The club have been sensible with their finances this season, planning for relegation rather than overreaching and leaving themselves in economic difficulty.
