The Gunners have apparently sent their chief negotiator Dick Laws to Poland in order to speed up the completion of the deal. They will be looking to get the midfielder ahead of their German rivals, who have already made a bid of £2.3 million for the 17-year-old.
The North London club have been rumoured to be interested in the youngster for a long while now, but have been unable to wrap up transfer as of yet.
The Pole can play in either central midfield or at centre-back, and as such would appear to be exactly what Arsene Wenger needs in his side at the moment. T
hey have apparently already had a £1.6 million bid for the player rejected, and Bielik was shown around Hamburg last week.
Despite all this, Arsenal are meant to still be confident that they lead the race for highly rated prospect. If they do sign him, it is unlikely that he will go straight in to the first team, but definitely won’t be too far off.
