Oussama Assaidi is heading to the Middle East.
Liverpool are set to raise an additional £4.75 million to add to their January transfer kitty by selling out-of-favour winger Oussama Assaidi to United Arab Emirates outfit Al-Ahli, report the Telegraph, after the Moroccan international was recalled from his loan spell at Stoke City so that the deal could go through.

Stoke put a lot of their energy in the summer window into striking a deal to bring Assaidi back to the Britannia Stadium after a successful spell at the club last season, but he has found opportunities under Mark Hughes hard to come by this season and is now set to head to the UAE in search of a new chapter in his career.
One of Brendan Rodgers’ first signings, from Dutch Eredivisie outfit Heerenveen, Assaidi has rarely been given the chance to shine in the Liverpool side whilst at Anfield, catching the eye more during his loan spell at Stoke last season, that included a stunning last gasp winning goal over Chelsea at the Britannia Stadium.
The Reds will be happy to have recouped a fair fee for Assaidi and will look to add the money to Brendan Rodgers’ transfer kitty, as the Northern Irishman attempts to revive the Reds’ flagging campaign.
