The north London outfit are keen to snap up the highly-rated young Frenchman, who had a spell with Manchester City’s youth team earlier in his career.

Now one of the most highly rated young talents on the books at PSG, Rabiot looks set to be loaned out by the Ligue 1 champions to gain some valuable first-team experience as he struggles to break into Laurent Blanc’s starting lineup on a regular basis due to the abundance of big names at the club.

While Tottenham may be close to signing the teenager, they do look set to miss out on Burnley striker Danny Ings, who is seemingly more likely to quit the Turf Moor club in the summer as he weighs up his options.

Burnley have been keen to hold on to the talented 22-year-old, and will resist Spurs’ interest this winter in a bid to help themselves secure Premier League survival.
