The pair joined up with squad for training and City manager Manuel Pellegrini will be delighted to have the pair nearing a return to help boost their title challenge as they face a tough race for top spot against Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.
Aguero in particularly has been red-hot so far this season – grabbing 19 goals in 17 starts – before a knee injury against Everton in early December forced the striker to miss the last five weeks and all of the festive games.
The Citizens are to visit Stamford Bridge on January 31 and Pellegrini will be desperate to have his two star forward’s back in action – especially with Yaya Toure away with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations for up to six weeks.
