Franjic, currently in preparations with the Socceroos for the Asian Cup, is keen to snare a loan deal with an A-League club from Russian Premier League outfit Torpedo Moscow.
The 27-year-old made the move to Russia from Brisbane Roar following the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but could spend the rest of the season back in the A-League with the Russian Premier League currently on a mid-winter break.
Franjic said there was a chance he would be loaned out after January’s Asian Cup, and that a move back to the A-League was a “very big option”.
He added: “Maybe come home for four months, re-energise, get my body right then next season when my body’s really good – here you’ve got great physios – then go back to Russia.”
Reports suggest Brisbane Roar are the favourites to re-sign the former Melbourne Knights man, but there are three to four other clubs interested in his services.
Franjic is currently in a battle with Aston Villa’s Chris Herd for a spot at right back during this month’s Asian Cup.
