Manchester United Predicted Line Up vs Yeovil Town: Falcao And Shaw To Play From The Start

How United will line up for their FA Cup clash with Yeovil.

Though games with smaller sides in the FA Cup can yield shock results, that possibility alone will not be enough to stop manager Louis Van Gaal from making wholesale changes. Certain players will be left out to recover from the hectic festive schedule, whilst others haven’t been performing and will be granted time to reflect on those performances. It will still be a strong showing from the Red Devils, though, and here’s how we think they’ll line up.

GK: Anders Lindegaard

Despite his excellent form this season, David de Gea will likely be rested for this one with Lindegaard coming in to deputise.

LB: Luke Shaw

With Ashley Young out injured, a fit again Shaw will see this as his chance to impress.

CB: Paddy McNair

McNair will be given another chance to further his development against the League One side.

CB: Tyler Blackett

Following some recent criticism Blackett will also be given a chance to stake a claim for a more regular spot in the starting XI.

CB: Chris Smalling

Smalling will be looked upon to be the wise old head at the back for United.

RB: Rafael

The Brazilian has been largely inconsistent this season, and this will be his chance to find his form.

RM: Ander Herrera

Herrera will either excel against lesser opposition, or struggle to come to terms with the rough treatment of a League One side.

CM: Wayne Rooney

Rooney will be looked at as the string puller through the middle, but how will he cope with his defensive duties?

LM: Adnan Januzaj

The Belgian starlet hasn’t had much of a look in this term, and this could be the perfect chance for him to put his case forward.

ST: James Wilson

Wilson has impressed when he has played this term, and United will be expecting more of the same.

ST: Radamel Falcao

Now he is fit again he can expect to see much more game time, especially if United are still thinking about buying him on a permanent deal.
