Brendan Rodgers’ side have been highly disappointing so far this season, with the departure of Luis Suarez and injuries to Daniel Sturridge hitting the team hard as summer signings Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert have failed to live up to expectations.

Raheem Sterling has adapted to a new role upfront in recent times, but may not be the long-term solution in that position as the club now look to rectify things this winter.
