Perrin was speaking following his side’s extra time victory over Ligue 2 side Nancy in the Coup de France today – and did little to indicate that he wouldn’t be interested in the move, although it is clear that Arsenal will have to step up their efforts to agree a deal with St. Etienne if any move is to progress further:
“I have been contacted personally. Arsenal is interested, but for now there is still no contact with Saint-Etienne.”
