Liverpool plot Gerrard loan return
Danny Ings (Burnley)
Young Burnley striker Danny Ings has been impressive enough during the Premier League season so far to have given his side a fighting chance of avoid relegation straight back to the Championship. He is out of contract at the end of the season, however, and likely to leave Turf Moor on a free transfer if his form continues – potentially leading to Burnley accepting a January bid, with Newcastle United and Southampton linked.
Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur)
Despite playing a role in Tottenham’s fine recent form under Mauricio Pochettino, a gaggle of Premier League clubs are confident of securing the England international on loan in the January transfer window, whether QPR, Sunderland and Newcastle United all linked.
Jay Rodriguez (Southampton)
Southampton striker and England international Jay Rodriguez is yet to make his bow this season due to injury, but that has not stopped former manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly sound him out for a January move to Tottenham Hotspur, where he would be likely to partner countryman Harry Kane.
Tyrone Mings (Ipswich Town)
Ipswich Town right back Tyrone Mings has been lighting up the Championship this season with his performances for high flying Ipswich Town, attracting the attention of Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, both of whom have been linked with a move in the region of £10 million.
Aaron Lennon (Tottenham Hotspur)
Townsend is not the only Tottenham winger who could be on the move from White Hart Lane in January, with bit part player Aaron Lennon also expected to be allowed to leave Spurs, with Stoke City and Southampton both believed to be interested.
Ross Barkley (Everton)
One of the brightest lights in English football currently is Everton playmaker Ross Barkley, who has been superb for Roberto Martinez since he was promoted to the Goodison Park first team line up. This has unsurprisingly attracted the attention of bigger clubs, with Chelsea and local rivals Liverpool both linked to Barkley.
Scott Sinclair (Manchester City)
It would’ve been easy to forget about the existence of winger Scott Sinclair during his time at Manchester City, but the former Swansea City winger is still at the Etihad Stadium and reportedly fancies a loan move to reinvigorate his career, with QPR interested.
Chris Smalling (Manchester United)
The England international centre back has not been impressive during his handful of appearances for Manchester United this season, with Arsenal linked to a shock move for the former Fulham man who is yet to convince Old Trafford chief Louis van Gaal.
