Here’s who we’ve gone for, and why!

GK) Jasper Cillessen – Ajax – Eredivisie

A top quality shot-stopper, although most commonly known for being replaced by Tim Krul for the penalty shoot-out in the World Cup.

CB) Fabian Schar – FC Basel – Super League

A fantastic up and coming talent, heavily linked with a move to a top European club.

CB) Virgil van Dijk – Celtic – Scottish Premiership

Tipped to join the Premier League in the near future, the promising Dutch centre-back is quickly becoming a household name.

RB) Darijo Srna – Shaktar Donetsk – Ukrainian Premier League

Known for his free-kicks and superb crossing, the experienced right-back has been competing at the top level for years.

LB) Alex Sandro – Porto – Primeira Liga

One of the most gifted attack minded left-backs in the world, Sandro is capable of some unbelievable skill.

DM) Blaise Matuidi – Paris Saint-Germain – Ligue 1

The tough tackling midfielder has seen his stock steadily rise over the last two seasons, and is now a vital part of the PSG set-up.

CM) Paul Pogba – Juventus – Serie A

The one that got away as far as Manchester United are concerned, Pogba has rocketed to stardom since joining Juventus. Already one of the top midfielders in the world, the Frenchman also has plenty of time to keep growing.

RW) Arjen Robben – Bayern Munich – Bundesliga

The tricky left-footed winger loves to cut in and shoot, and after finding his home at Bayern Munich has been one of the few players to challenge Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the Ballon d’Or.

LW) Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrid – La Liga

Unquestionably the best player in the world at the moment based on current form, the Portuguese superstar looks determined to fire Real Madrid to cup success once again.

CAM) Wesley Sneijder – Galatasaray – Super Lig

The Dutch playmaker regularly shows touches of class, and while he may not be the player he once was, he is still one of the top attacking midfielders in world football.

ST) Sergio Aguero – Manchester City – Premier League

Practically unplayable when fit, the diminutive Argentine has the best goals per minute ratio in the Premier League.
