Pardew looks set to take up the vacant position at Crystal Palace.
Hull City manager Steve Bruce would be willing to become the Newcastle United manager if current Magpies incumbent Alan Pardew does decide to make the move south to Crystal Palace, report the Mail, with Bruce reportedly willing to work with controversial St. James’ Park owner Mike Ashley.

Bruce is currently under a degree of pressure himself at the KC Stadium after a defeat to bottom side Leicester City yesterday left the Tigers on the precipice of the relegation zone – and he would jump at the chance to take over the reins at the club who he grew up supporting, whilst Bruce also has a good relationship with Newcastle chief scout Graham Carr, who is a crucial part of the club’s player recruitment philosophy.
The former Manchester United central defender is set to face competition for the post from two out of work managers in Tim Sherwood and Tony Pulis, however, although compensation would not be too much of an issue, with Bruce’s current contract at Hull only running until the end of the season.
Pardew has emerged as the shock leading contender to replace the sacked Neil Warnock as manager of Crystal Palace, with the two clubs believed to have held talks over the compensation deal that would be needed to take Pardew back to the club where he most made his name as a player.
