Liverpool transfer news
The Reds are keen to improve upfront after some poor performances this season following the major blow of losing star player Luis Suarez to Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers can rectify this crisis in January, with £70m’s worth of talent being looked at in what could prove an exciting transfer window for Liverpool fans.
With the likes of Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert failing to impress at Anfield so far, these more high-profile names could do the trick for the club if they can be brought in…
1) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)
Firstly, Liverpool are said to be lining up a hugely ambitious £50m deal to sign Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, who would no doubt be an ideal replacement upfront for Suarez with his world class ability and superb goalscoring record at the top level.

2) Seydou Doumbia (CSKA Moscow)
Another option being considered is £20m-rated CSKA Moscow front-man Seydou Doumbia, who would perhaps be a more realistic target due to his lower asking price. The Ivory Coast international impressed in the Champions League this season and is now seemingly high on Liverpool’s list of targets this winter.
