Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky has been linked with a surprise January transfer move to Greek giants Olympiakos, according to the Independent.

The Czech Republic international, 34, has been with Arsenal since he joined the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2006, and has been a key member of the side since then.

Injuries have plagued Rosicky’s career with the Gunners, though he enjoyed something of a mini-renaissance in the team last season as he was often used in big games by Arsene Wenger and helped the team end their long wait for silverware by winning the FA Cup final against Hull City.

Still, Rosicky may now be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium after falling out of favour this season, with injuries to the likes of Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere still not seeing the veteran playmaker earn a place in the starting lineup.

Olympiakos seem ready to offer him a move this winter, and it seems possible that Arsenal will allow this bit-part player to end his long association with the club.
