Roberto Soldado has not enjoyed the best time in the Premier League since his £26m switch from Valencia, and his poor form has left him ashamed to wear a Tottenham shirt, according to the Evening Standard.

The Spaniard has scored just seven times in his 38 Premier League appearances, which is a shocking fall from grace after a prolific few seasons in La Liga.
Averaging more than a goal every other game with Valencia, Soldado is one of many who can’t seem to understand what has happened to his form.
One thing he does know though, is how much he appreciates the support given to him by the Tottenham fans. He is confident that the goals will eventually come, and he is incredibly grateful for the continued backing from the fans.
He admitted that he felt a ashamed at his performances in a Tottenham shirt, and wished he could give the fans what they deserved.
“From the first minute I’m involved, even before I’ve done anything, the fans show they believe in me, and I feel ashamed at not being able to satisfy them,” he said
“It’s hard when they sing.
“I hear them chanting my name and if I miss a chance, I feel bad. I can’t thank them enough. I just hope I can reach the level they expect and I just need to take advantage of the great players around me.”
