Manchester United are set to be given the green light to sign Gareth Bale in a £90m deal as Real Madrid look to replace him with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard or Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling.

According to the Daily Star, the world class Welshman is no longer in Real’s long-term plans and could be allowed to make way for the right price as the club focus on other targets.
Bale has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and nearly joined the club whilst still at Tottenham Hotspur, though he favoured the switch to the Bernabeu.
Still, United could now be in pole position to sign the 25-year-old next season in what would see the player break the world-record transfer fee for the second time in his career.
