See why the Croatian national team coach doesn’t want his star striker heading to the Champions League too early…
Croatia manager Niko Kovac has warned young striker Andrej Kramaric to choose his next club wisely, and hinted that it might not be the best move to head to a club like Chelsea.
Leicester City made a €10m offer for the Rijeka striker in the summer, an offer which was accepted by the club. The striker turned down a move however, a decision which indicates his determination to move to a top club.
Kramaric’s international manager clearly thinks that a move to the Foxes would have made more sense than the suggested move to Stamford Bridge, however.

“My advice not only to him but all young players going out is don’t look at how high a salary you can get but choose a club you will play in,” he told Goal.
However Kovac is still keen to see the prodigy move somewhere, and test himself against the top teams in Europe.
“Since Kramaric is playing great now, scoring goals, and there might come an injury, perhaps it would be better for him to leave Rijeka now than to wait until summer.”
Kovac has already given Kramaric his break at international level, playing the 23-year-old in four of his side’s Euro 2016 qualifiers, with the poacher netting twice in those four games.
