GK) Thibaut Courtois

The young keeper will be even better than he is now with two more year experience under his belt.

RB) Cesar Azpilicueta

Azpi will finally be able to return to his natural right-back spot once Branislav Ivanovic is moved on.

CB) Raphael Varane

Varane has been heavily linked with Chelsea in recent weeks, although the Stamford Bridge side will have Kurt Zouma as an able stand-in if they can’t secure the Real Madrid man.

CB) Gary Cahill

Cahill will be 30 in 2015, and the Chelsea captain, hoping to replicate the enormous success of John Terry.

LB) Tyrone Mings

The only other Englishman in the side will be Mings, the talented Ipswich Town defender who was today linked with a move to the Blues.

CM) Nemanja Matic

There will be no displacing the Serb from the Chelsea side. He will be well established as the world’s best defensive midfielder by 2015.

CM) Cesc Fabregas

Fabregas’ powers may be on the wane by the end of 2016, especially as he has been a regular starter since 16 years old, but hopefully Marco van Ginkel will have developed enough to become a regular starter by then.

AML) Eden Hazard

2015/16 could be the year Hazard wins the Ballon d’Or, unfortunately for Chelsea fans it could be his last season before a record breaking £200m move to Real Madrid.

AMC) Marco Reus

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Reus as soon as this January, and the Blues would benefit hugely from having a player as versatile and talented as the German in their side.

AMR) Juan Cuadrado

Willian and Andre Schurrle provide great work-rate on the wings, but Fiorentina’s Cuadrado would bring all that plus the speed and crossing of a true winger.

ST) Diego Costa

Costa’s injury problems may hold him back, but at his current rate of scoring it’s hard to see anyone being a better option up front for the Blues.
