Key Manchester United Defensive Star Makes Shock Early Return To Training

Manchester United’s injury crisis might have passed its peak…

Marcos Rojo has made a surprising early return to Manchester United training, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Argentine player suffered a dislocated shoulder in the derby against Manchester City a month ago, and was expected to miss at least six weeks.

However the defender has made an early recovery, and took part in full training with the rest of the side at Carrington today.

This puts the centre-back in line for a return to the team on Monday 8 December, when United play Southampton.

Rojo has not been particularly good for Man United, but given the assortment of untried youngsters who have been filling in for him, his return should be a big boost.

Jonny Evans played just over an hour for United’s reserves, and could be fit to play Hull City this weekend. Luke Shaw picked up an injury in last week’s game against Arsenal, but should also be back in time for the Saints game.

Phil Jones has shin splints; and no set return date.

United boss Louis van Gaal will be delighted to hear that he has players returning. His threadbare defence is currently also missing Rafael and Daley Blind.
