7) Danny Welbeck – 8%
A fairly poor score for the former Manchester United striker, Danny Welbeck is only on an 8% conversion rate at the moment, below a number of other attacking players at the club. By comparison, Theo Walcott was 7th last season with 17% of his chances taken.
6) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 9%
Next up is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is also on a slightly disappointing 9%, precisely half of the 18% conversion rate he achieved last season.
5) Aaron Ramsey – 12%
Next is Aaron Ramsey, who has been noticeably less good this season – and the numbers show it. With a conversion rate of just 12%, the Welsh midfielder is on less than half of his 26% conversion rate of last term.
4) Jack Wilshere – 14%
Another player who really could improve in front of goal, Jack Wilshere has a conversion rate of 14%, lower than the 18% he managed last year.
3) Mesut Ozil – 17%
Down on the 21% he managed last season, Mesut Ozil still does reasonably well converting his chances, with a record of 17%.
2) Olivier Giroud – 25%
With a very good conversion rate of 25%, Olivier Giroud certainly makes a case for starting ahead of Welbeck as he sits in second place, improving on his rate of 18% of last season.
1) Alexis Sanchez – 32%
With a superb conversion rate of 32%, Alexis Sanchez is unsurprisingly top of this list of under-performing Arsenal stars this season, bettering the 26% that saw Lukas Podolski top the Gunners’ list of best finishers last season.
