The 22-year-old Costa Rica international has not been a first-team regular for the Gunners this season, and may now be keen to leave the club on a permanent basis after spending the last three seasons out on loan at various different European clubs.
Considered an exciting prospect for the future, Arsenal loaned out Campbell to the likes of Real Betis, Lorient and Olympiacos in a bid to get a work permit for the player before he could then link up with Arsene Wenger’s squad.
However, Campbell has found plenty of competition for places upfront this season, and is seemingly frustrated with life at the Emirates Stadium as he considers his next move to further his career.
Everton are among a number of clubs monitoring his situation, and Toffees boss Roberto Martinez could be ready to test Arsenal’s resolve to keep Campbell with a £7m offer in the coming months.
The Merseyside club are known to be keen on signing technically skilled young players, and Campbell certainly fits the bill if he is available for a reasonable price.
