The Scot has reportedly set his sights on bringing in experienced Gunners midfielder Mikel Arteta, who was one of his star players during his time in charge at Goodison Park.
Moyes is said to be keeping an eye on Arteta’s contract situation at the Emirates Stadium, with the Spaniard possibly set to be available on a free transfer next summer if he does not renew at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal have been linked with a number of deep-lying midfield players in recent times, which suggests Arsene Wenger may be open to replacing the 32-year-old, who has not been at his best in recent times.
Arteta has played for Real Sociedad before, spending a short time with the Basque side in the 2004/05 season, before then joining Everton on loan prior to his permanent switch to the Merseyside outfit.
The experienced playmaker also started his career in La Liga with Barcelona, though he has spent the majority of his playing days so far in the Premier League with Everton and Arsenal.
